The Cocktail of Generations brought together a diverse and festive multigenerational crowd for its 2026 edition, which took place June 10th in NATIONAL Public Relations Agency’s magnificent spaces. More than 175 people gathered for this charity event in support of the Little Brothers Foundation, set against the majestic backdrop of the 8th floor of the Sun Life building and the unique charm of its monumental terrace, which offers a unique view of Montreal.
To the inspiring beats of DJ Mr Raven, guests engaged in lively discussions in a spirit of openness and exchange. The atmosphere was festive, thanks to the exquisite selection of cocktails prepared by Nana Traiteur (L’Assommoir) under the direction of Victor Charlebois. The canapés and specialty dishes, notably delicious lobster and mushroom risottos, delighted those attending the summer event, now set to become a Montreal tradition.
Karl Tremblay, the driving force behind the Comité des Briseurs de solitudes and a member of the Foundation’s Board of Directors, acted as the emcee of the event. Chief Executive Officer of Little Brothers, Catherine Harel Bourdon, addressed the crowd as well. She highlighted the organisation’s mission by introducing a volunteer and a Great Friend (as the volunteers affectionately call them) – who briefly spoke about their experience to the crowd gathered for the occasion. At first glance, the young actor Fabrice and his Great Friend Mrs. Mathias would seem to have little in common, but they have developed a bond that is a joy to witness. Inspired by her encounter with Fabrice, Mrs. Mathias has rediscovered her passion for painting. One of her pieces was auctioned off during the evening and quickly snapped up.
Members of the Briseurs de solitudes committee – ambassadors for the evening -were naturally in attendance. Their commitment helped to mobilise valuable corporate partners, whose generosity contributed to the evening’s success and the auction, where several lots raised significant sums.
The atmosphere peaked with a performance celebrating community spirit and hip-hop culture. Clauter Alexandre, alias Dr Step – a well-known figure in the development of Montreal’s hip-hop community – delivered a heartfelt introduction for the internationally renowned DJ Killa Jewel, who put on an acrobatic scratching performance on vinyl. Back on the dance floor with the young Spinner (Éloic) and Blaze (Sacha), Dr Step demonstrated his role as a mentor by leading an intergenerational breakdance performance that wowed the audience. The trio injected new energy and infectious enthusiasm into the crowd, who were more than happy to show their appreciation.
The event concluded with the traditional unveiling of the funds collected during the event. Over $65,000 was raised, a sum to which was added the exceptional contribution from the event’s sponsor, L’Oréal Canada, which generously provided the evening’s gifts and over $180,000 worth of products to be offered throughout the year to the Great Friends during activities organised by Les Petits Frères.
The second edition of the Cocktail of Generations exceeded expectations, combining philanthropy, celebrations, solidarity and entertainment in support of Little Brothers’ vital mission: providing voluntary support to people aged 75 and over who are facing social isolation.
