Little Brothers receive the SHP Engagement 2023 award

The history of Little Brothers is intimately linked to that of the Plateau-Mont-Royal, where our head office has been located for 55 years and our Boutique for over 40 years. We are therefore proud to have received the Engagement 2023 award presented on November 2 by the Société d’Histoire du Plateau-Mont-Royal, which promotes the living history of this unique neighborhood in Montreal.

The award recognizes the exceptional involvement of an individual or organization in the Plateau-Mont-Royal district. It was presented this year to Little Brothers in recognition of the organization’s extraordinary work and longevity.

As the master of ceremonies, Myriam Wojcik, pointed out:

« I am very proud that we were able to highlight the exceptional contribution of people and organizations that have been active in the neighborhood for decades. Among them, Little Brothers, recipient of the Engagement award, have distinguished themselves by helping isolated seniors since 1962, and have been based on the Plateau for fifty-five years. The organization provides a family for seniors who have no one in their lives, for the rest of their lives. What an extraordinary mission! »

In front of a full house, Joanne Parmenter, Territory Manager for Greater Montreal, thanked the members of the Société d’Histoire du Plateau-Mont-Royal and reminded us of the importance of offering a well-cared-for golden age to those who have contributed to the history of the district and, more broadly, of Quebec.

We thank the members of the Société d’Histoire du Plateau team for this recognition, and share it with every employee and volunteer involved in our great family.
