10 years for the Québec Opera Dinner

On May 29, close to 180 people gathered to celebrate the 10th edition of the Little Brothers Québec benefit dinner, accompanied by an online solidarity auction. Thanks to this wave of generosity, a total of $140,000 was raised to support our essential mission: to break the isolation of seniors in the Quebec City region.

Since 2011, this annual event has raised a total of nearly $400,000, a precious support that enables us to continue our warm and caring commitment to isolated seniors in the Quebec City region.

An evening to celebrate community involvement

Our President and CEO, Catherine Harel Bourdon, Foundation Board Chair, Ann MacDonald, Foundation Executive Director, Pierre Couture, and Director of Philanthropic Development, Pascal Fournier, expressed their gratitude to the guests, donors and partners, whose generosity makes a real difference.

Active in the National Capital region since 1987, the Little Brothers today supports nearly 400 isolated seniors, thanks to the commitment of nearly 450 volunteers. Their presence, week after week, brings warmth, dignity and comfort to our Great Friends in the Quebec City area.

During the evening, a special tribute was paid to Gérard Fournier in celebration of his 15 years of volunteer involvement with the Little Brothers Québec.

Gérard is the driving force behind the concept of the Québec Gourmet Dinner, and has been using his extensive network to organize a variety of fundraising activities in support of our mission.

And his commitment doesn’t stop there: a musician with a generous heart, he creates magical moments through his music. Whether during home visits or festive events, his guitar, his voice and his kindness touch the hearts of our Great Friends.
