The Little Brothers family is very excited to announce the arrival of a new team in Granby. This new deployment is a very important step in the development of our organization, which will now be able to surround lonely and isolated seniors in the Montérégie region with love and kindness.
The inauguration of the premises took place on December 9th in a festive atmosphere. The Granby community responded to the invitation to celebrate this promising initiative, as evidenced by the articles in the Voix de l’Est and the Granby Express.
The new office is located in downtown Granby (330 Saint-Charles-Sud), and the team is organizing its first activities to bring together local partners and stakeholders who are willing to help and serve seniors living in isolation.
The needs are great in the region and the Little Brothers of Granby already accompanies about ten seniors. We anticipate rapid growth to assist approximately 40 people, age 75 and older who are without family or suffering from loneliness, by the end of 2022.
All forms of support, from donations to volunteering, are essential to accomplish this goal. Residents of Granby and Montérégie who wish to volunteer for the Little Brothers cause can do so by filling out our online form
This project is made possible thanks to the financial participation of the Québec government, which supports activities that allow for preventive intervention with isolated seniors or seniors in vulnerable situations.
