On October 27, our Lévis team celebrated a decade of dedication and solidarity with local seniors. In a warm and friendly atmosphere, volunteers, Great Friends, partners and community members gathered to celebrate 10 years of caring support. The anniversary was an opportunity to recall precious moments and years marked by unique bonds, which have made a difference in the lives of many seniors.
At the event, Joanne Parmenter, Senior Director of Action, and Ann Jeffrey, Pintendre District Councillor, were on hand to underline the importance of our team’s commitment to Lévis.
Testimonials and sharing: an emotional moment
Among the heartfelt testimonials from our Great Friends, Mrs. Roger’s is particularly touching. Mrs. Roger shared how Little Brothers came into her life at a difficult time and supported her through personal trials. She spoke of the value of every visit, every kind gesture, like the messages she received on International Women’s Day or Valentine’s Day, reminding her that she’s part of a “new family”. “If I hadn’t had you, I wouldn’t have made it through,” she confided, movingly expressing the essential role Little Brothers play in her daily life.
A commitment for years to come
This anniversary testifies to our determination to continue building caring, supportive relationships for many years to come.
Thank you to everyone who attended, and to all those who helped make the day a memorable one. Together, we continue to bring joy and warmth to the lives of seniors in Lévis.
