Jean-François, the face of an invisible but vital commitment

Within the Little Brothers family, there are volunteers whose quiet yet essential commitment makes a world of difference. Jean-François is a perfect example. Although he did not win the Juliette-Huot Award this year, his nomination was a well-deserved recognition of his outstanding dedication. Rather than seeking the spotlight, he chooses to devote his energy to a mission close to his heart: supporting the Little Brothers Foundation and maximizing its impact for Great Friends.

An Unwavering Commitment to the Cause

Since September 2020, Jean-François has been generously offering his time with remarkable precision and dedication. He spends two half-days a week at the office, ensuring that every donation received is processed quickly and accurately. “I’ve always enjoyed this type of work. It’s very meticulous, structured, and above all, I know it makes a real difference,” he shares.

During busier periods, he doesn’t hesitate to put in extra hours, ensuring smooth and efficient financial management for the organization. His presence at the Foundation also helps reduce processing costs, avoiding the need for expensive external services.

A Valuable Support for the Team

Jean-François is not only a data management expert — he is a true pillar for his colleagues. He offers daily support, sharing his knowledge and lending a hand during busier times.

At the office, his presence brings both kindness and professionalism. He pays attention to the small details that make a big difference: remembering a birthday, stepping in when workloads become heavy, offering a word of encouragement. “Jean-François is that dream colleague everyone hopes for — always ready to help without ever seeking recognition,” notes a team member.

A Tangible Impact on the Little Brothers’ Mission

By contributing to the efficient management of donations, Jean-François plays an indirect yet crucial role in supporting Great Friends. Thanks to his meticulous work, the Foundation can dedicate more resources to accompanying isolated seniors, offering them companionship and comfort.

Although he humbly describes himself as “more of an office person than an action person,” his contribution is invaluable.
“I’m not the one who deserves the thanks — it’s all those amazing volunteers out in the field,” he says modestly.

Making a Difference, His Own Way

Jean-François is living proof that every gesture matters, and that volunteering comes in many forms. Whether directly accompanying a Great Friend or working behind the scenes to optimize an organization’s resources, every action contributes to something greater.

And what if, like Jean-François, you made a difference in your own way?
