Discover the Circle of Distinction

Strong, healthy ties for over 60 years. We are grateful for your support.

The Little Brothers have grown up a lot since 1962. We’ve been able to travel this long road of solidarity thanks to the support of major donors, whose generosity we would like to acknowledge.

This was an opportunity to introduce the “Circle of Distinction“, which brings together foundations, companies and other organizations that have made a cumulative donation over the years of $250,000 or more, and individual donors who have made a contribution of $100,000 or more, some of whom have been loyal to us for over 30 years.

Thanks to this significant support, Little Brothers have been able to build its future, cultivate trust and respond more thoroughly and consistently to changing needs. In this way, we can fulfill our promise to seniors and make their years ahead brighter and more serene.

We thank them warmly for their support of our family and invite you to discover them!

The Marcelle and Jean Coutu Foundation

For over 30 years, the Marcelle and Jean Coutu Foundation has supported the organization in its work with seniors. Initially dedicated for many years to the vacation program and the Domaine Juliette-Huot, the Foundation’s support was used to back the various actions carried out during the pandemic. The Foundation is now supporting the deployment of the Little Brothers’ global mission, in order to have a decisive impact on the isolation experienced by too many seniors.

Québecor

In keeping with its vision of investing in the community to improve the lot of vulnerable seniors, Québecor has been supporting our mission since 1999. Media visibility over the years has provided Little Brothers with golden opportunities to speak to the public about the situation of seniors in Quebec, and the broadcast of the show Une chance qu’on s’a in 2020 generated $1 million in donations from the general public.

Desjardins Group

The Desjardins Group is founded on the values of mutual aid and solidarity. The financial company has supported the organization for thirty years, notably through a number of fund-raising activities, and for more than 20 years has been honorary president of the IMAX fund-raising event, helping to raise nearly $1.5 million for Little Brothers in the Quebec business community.

The J.A. DeSève Foundation

A loyal supporter of Little Brothers, the JA DeSève Foundation pays particular attention to organizations whose mission is to provide direct assistance and support to individuals. As such, it supports various Little Brothers initiatives in the field, including the start-up of the Longueuil team and the development of Montreal’s South End neighborhoods.

Fonds Louis Garneau inc.

Philanthropist Louis Garneau has consistently supported our organization’s work since 1995. A portion of his donations is dedicated to the holiday program at the Little Brothers’ cottage on Lac Saint-Joseph, which officially became the Chalet Paul-Garneau in 2016, in honor of his father. Very attached to family values and recognizing the fundamental role of seniors in society, Mr. Louis Garneau wanted to offer a stay in a bucolic setting to his “Old Friends” of the Little Brothers.

The Joly-Messier Foundation

They have been supporting the work of Les Petits Frères since the very beginning, making their first donation to the organization, the largest amount received by Little Brothers in many years. The Joly-Messier Foundation’s generosity has enabled Little Brother to revise and promote its matching program to current and potential volunteers, thus significantly increasing the number of Great Friends benefiting from a relationship that brings them lasting benefits.

The Blain-Favreau Foundation

The Blain-Favreau Foundation is a testamentary trust established on the death of Dr. Lorenzo Paul Favreau in 2012, whose mission is to support organizations that help the elderly who are destitute, in housing, hospitalized or unable to care for themselves. Since 2016, it has supported the Little Brothers’ initiatives to surround isolated seniors in Quebec with a loving family committed to the end of life.

The Grace Dart Foundation

After careful strategic consideration, the Grace Dart Foundation has chosen, as a gesture of long-term trust, to partner with Little Brothers to reach out to isolated English-speaking seniors and/or those from culturally diverse communities. The Grace Dart Foundation is a partner in this initiative, providing financial and outreach support to Little Brothers in their work with isolated seniors.

The Luc Maurice Foundation

The Groupe Maurice has been supporting Little Brothers for ten years now, and it is through its Foundation that it continues to support their work with the most isolated people. The Groupe Maurice team approaches the issue of isolation from the angle of essential citizen action, and implements concrete actions with our field teams in its residences: meal boxes at Christmas, books or other gifts; the Luc Maurice Foundation never forgets our Great Friends!

M. Luc Villeneuve

Luc Villeneuve has been involved with Little Brothers for over thirty years, and is one of the largest individual donors to the Little Brothers Foundation. He has been involved with the organization for all these years because the reality of seniors, especially those living in extreme isolation, touches him deeply. Over the past ten years as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the organization or its Foundation, he has sought to put his knowledge and support even further at the service of the search for humane solutions, in keeping with his values.

M. Benoit Jutras

Benoit Jutras approached our organization nine years ago with an artist’s heart and a genuine desire to bring the pleasure of music to seniors, offering financial support that was as generous as it was unexpected. Involving the whole Jutras family at the same time, his brother and sister-in-law also got involved, playing and singing the music that made our Great Friends dream. From birthdays and wedding anniversaries to gatherings at the Domaine Juliette-Huot, the entire Jutras family was able to collectively offer quality shows that directly touched those present, who were always invited to sing along. Hats off to Benoit Jutras for this heartfelt commitment, which has already given so much pleasure and joy, and continues to do so, wherever he may be in the world.

M. Paul Leblanc

A benefactor of Little Brothers for the past six years, philanthropist Paul Leblanc says he is very sensitive to the organization’s values. In his view, support for the elderly and vulnerable requires constant and immediate action. From the outset of his involvement, it therefore seemed urgent to him to support the Little Brothers’ mission. Highlighted during the pandemic, the hardships experienced by thousands of seniors prompted Paul Leblanc to become even more involved with Little Brothers. He then made a major contribution, dedicated to the telephone matching, to respond to this emergency for all people aged 75 and over across Quebec. Mr. Leblanc’s extraordinary gift has had a tremendous impact.

The late Mr. Albert Jean de Grandpré

We would like to pay a posthumous tribute to the great philanthropist Mr. Albert Jean de Grandpré, who demonstrated his generosity to the end of his life in July 2022. Born in Montreal in 1921, Mr. de Grandpré began his career as a brilliant Montreal lawyer. However, his leadership qualities and business acumen led him to consider new opportunities. In 1966, he joined Bell Canada, becoming CEO in 1976. A great visionary, he was behind the creation of BCE, transforming the telephone company into an internationally admired telecommunications powerhouse. In all aspects of his life, Mr. de Grandpré is known for his human values. The well-being of his employees is at the heart of his concerns, and he has made it his duty to support various causes that have an impact on the community.

It’s a privilege to be able to count on the immense generosity and loyalty of these great donors. On behalf of our Great Friends, we thank them from the bottom of our hearts!
