Joanne Parmenter appointed Senior Operations Branch and Regional Director, Greater Montreal for Little Brothers

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Joanne Parmenter as Senior Operations Branch for Volunteer Action, effective January 22, 2024. In her new role, she will be responsible for all ” Volunteer Action ” activities, as well as for regional management, in her capacity as Regional Director for Greater Montreal.

Joanne joined the Little Brothers team in June 2015, after volunteering for the organization in the Laval area. Reflecting on her involvement, she shares, “The elderly have always been a source of happiness for me. I love approaching them, smiling at them, talking to them. I never miss an opportunity to establish a bond with them, even if it’s just a smile. Maybe I’m the only one who talks to them all day, who smiles at them. It makes me happy to know that I can make a difference in their sometimes too sad day.”

Her skills profile

As an administrative manager, she has over 35 years’ experience in supply chain, customer service and operations. Her management principles focus on human resources development and well-being, process improvement, and project management to optimize operations, resulting in cost reductions, improved services and the achievement of objectives.

Her motivations

“I’m happy to continue my career with the Little Brothers family as Senior Operations Branch. Since I started, working with our teams and volunteers has been a great source of inspiration. My commitment to Little Brothers and its mission remains as strong as ever, and I’m excited to continue growing within this exceptional organization to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors,” she said.

Joanne is an invaluable ally in countering the isolation of seniors in Quebec. Please join us in congratulating her and wishing her every success in her new role!
