Let’s celebrate your commitment and loyalty
On June 6, we had the honor of thanking our valued community of donors at an event chaired by Mr. Luc Maurice, attended by some forty of our most loyal supporters.
Among them are those from our Circle of distinction, who include foundations, corporations and other organizations that have made a cumulative donation over the years of $250,000 or more, and individual donors who have contributed $100,000 or more, some of whom have been with us for over 30 years.
We acknowledged their significant support and welcomed the five donors who joined the Circle of distinction this year: the Sandra and Alain Bouchard Foundation, the Traçons un Chemin Foundation, the Famille Léger Foundation, the J.-Louis Lévesque Foundation and Mr. Pierre Comtois.
Moved by this recognition, Mr. Comtois gave us a touching testimonial, an excerpt of which follows:
« Little Brothers is a place for learning the art of aging well. Day after day, they refine this art (…) by helping people change their sometimes-nostalgic view of life towards a restored present and even towards a more harmonious future, however brief it may be. Through my contribution, I would like to thank all the volunteers and the support team for their unwavering commitment to enabling people to smile again and still believe they are entitled to a certain serenity, and in doing so, I am giving myself a gift. »
The emotion of our Great Friend and her volunteer
This warm evening, held at our head office on rue Garnier in Montreal, was illuminated by the presence of our Great Friend, Mrs. Engelmann, accompanied by her paired volunteer, Mrs. Bissonnette.
Mrs Engelmann shared with the guests the benefits of her volunteer’s comforting presence in her daily life. Their moving testimonies, imbued with affection, friendship and gratitude, perfectly reflect the duo they form.
