You’ve probably seen our ad on your screens, in your favorite magazines, or on our social media platforms. Since the launch of the Let’s Reduce Seniors’ Loneliness campaign on October 1, to mark the International Day of Older Persons, our community has mobilized with remarkable enthusiasm.
Thanks to your support, we’ve seen a significant increase in online interactions, visits to the campaign page, and downloads of our awareness booklet. Together, we’re taking a big step forward in reducing seniors’ isolation.
Campaign Results So Far
This campaign brings together a multitude of contributors and platforms, generating tangible results:
- 246 volunteer applications have been submitted and are being processed by our local teams.
- 171 donations totaling $26,150, helping support our actions and programs to assist our Grand Friends.
Our Major Partners
- Québecor: With ads aired on TVA and RDI, awareness articles like Diminuons la solitude ensemble on the HUBLO platform, and features in La Semaine, TV Hebdo, Coup de pouce, Le Journal de Montréal, and Le Journal de Québec, this campaign has reached a wide audience.
- La Fondation Luc Maurice: The support of residents, employees, and the broader community of Groupe Maurice has provided crucial momentum for this initiative.
Impactful Media Initiatives
- A heartfelt column by Rose-Aimée Automne T. Morin in La Presse: Françoise est comme nous.
- An inspiring open letter from our patron Béatrice Picard: L’engagement ne connaît pas la retraite, et moi non plus.
- A touching testimonial from our volunteer Marie-Andrée in Le Journal de Montréal: Un jour amie, pour toujours.
An Exceptional Collaborative Effort
This campaign, developed by the agency Les Évadés and produced by Gorditos, is a true collective achievement. Special thanks to the actors, who chose to donate their fees, demonstrating a commitment that goes beyond the screen.
We also extend our gratitude to Post-Moderne and all the creative teams who contributed to this project with talent and passion: directing, production, editing, sound design, styling, and much more.
What’s Next?
While the campaign will take a pause during the holiday season, it will return in January 2025 with a relaunch planned for the World Loneliness Awareness Day, on January 23.
In the meantime, we need your help. Give your time or a donation to continue breaking the isolation and loneliness experienced by seniors. Every gesture counts and changes lives.
Thank you for being part of this wonderful journey and thank you to our major partners Québecor and La Fondation Luc Maurice for their unwavering support, helping us raise awareness for this important cause.
