Easter Celebrations That Bring People Together
For Easter celebrations, Little Brothers once again mobilized across Quebec to reach out to isolated seniors. During a time that symbolizes renewal, these events highlight the importance of human connections, especially for those aged 75 and over living alone.
As this time of year can intensify feelings of isolation, regional teams and volunteers joined forces to offer meaningful moments of connection, helping to break loneliness and restore a sense of belonging.

A Province-Wide Effort to Reach Those Who Need It Most
This year’s Easter celebrations reached communities in 12 regions across Quebec through a remarkable collective effort:
- 25 festive meals organized
- Nearly 600 volunteers involved
- More than 1,000 Great Friends reached
Whether gathered around shared tables or visited at home, all Great Friends experienced the same message everywhere: they matter, and they are not forgotten.
Meaningful Moments That Leave a Lasting Impact
ThFrom Gatineau to Rimouski, and passing from Montreal to Saint-Jérôme and Thetford, these gatherings created joyful, human moments centered on connection, conversation, and shared experiences.
Collected testimonials highlight the tangible impact of these encounters:
“A good meal is really about the people you share it with.” — Great Friend, West Island, Montreal
“It’s always such a pleasure when we can all get together.” — Great Friends, Thetford
For volunteers, these encounters are just as valuable. Giving their time not only brightens someone else’s day, it also enriches their own sense of connection and community.
“It brings something to both people—it strengthens your social life and theirs.” — Suzanne Rajotte, volunteer

Addressing Senior Isolation, One Connection at a Time
These celebrations are a reflection of Little Brothers’ core mission: to support socially isolated and lonely seniors, and ensure they are surrounded by care and companionship throughout the year.
Beyond the festive atmosphere, Easter initiatives highlight a deeper reality—loneliness remains a significant issue for many older adults. For those who take part, these moments are not just events—they are meaningful highlights, often anticipated and remembered long after they end.
A Collective Effort That Makes a Difference
The success of Easter celebrations is made possible through the dedication and generosity of many:
- Passionate volunteers
- Committed regional teams
- Local partners
- Generous donors
Together, they help bring comfort, dignity, and connection to our Great Friends across Quebec. Sometimes, it’s the simplest gestures—a shared meal, a visit, a conversation—that have the greatest impact.
By creating these opportunities for connection, Little Brothers helps build a more inclusive society—one where every person, regardless of age, feels seen, valued, and supported.
