On March 15, a benefit screening of Robin Aubert’s new movie TU NE SAURAS JAMAIS took place at Montreal’s Beaubien cinema, organized with the support of AXIA Films. A courageous film that engages our senses and transports us into a poignant story, carried by the great talent of Martin Naud, the lead actor.
Organized for the benefit of the Little Brothers Foundation, the evening raised over $2,000 and brought together some one hundred volunteers, donors, partners and employees who play an active role in our mission. It was an opportunity for a warm and friendly reunion, in the image of Little Brothers.

A subject that deserves to be heard
We’d like to express our gratitude to Director Robin Aubert, who had the courage to tackle a difficult and necessary subject.
“TU NE SAURAS JAMAIS” explores the emotional reality of an old man, Paul Vincent, isolated in his dorm room in Covid times, who does everything in his power to see the woman he loves one last time. This poignant story offers us a wonderful insight into what it can feel like to be a senior living in solitude and isolation.
Touched by the situation in CHSLDs during the pandemic, Robin Aubert explains why he chose to cast a non-professional actor in the lead role: “Because all those people who suffered, like the old man we follow in the film, were – are – anonymous people. They were and they remain anonymous. It was all a big deal, a scandal and all that, but we soon moved on. I realize that as I’ve gotten older, I’ve become more socially aware in my films.
An indispensable presence
A reality that Little Brothers teams know well. Even though the pandemic is behind us, one in five seniors in Quebec suffers from loneliness and has no loved ones to count on. And 15% of the people we accompany with Little Brothers live in CHSLDs, just like the main character in the movie.
As our President and CEO, Catherine Harel Bourdon, pointed out in her opening speech: “For these people, the wait is long and the lack of affection is acute. Tonight, to show them that they’re not alone, that we’re thinking of them, let’s dive into their reality, into the slowness of their daily lives…let’s try to understand better so we can move forward and act collectively.
Thank you all for making this cinematic experience a moment of solidarity and support for seniors.
