Québec City’s business community rallies to support seniors in their community

A lasting commitment since 2011

Launched in October 2011, the fundraising dinner for Little Brothers has brought together over 1,000 guests from the Quebec City business community for an exceptional gastronomic event.

With all ticket sales going to Little Brothers, the event has raised over $200,000 in support of the activities taking place in Quebec City to counter the isolation of seniors in the region.

Actor Paul Hébert, then spokesperson for Little Brothers, was honorary president of the very first event. The event has continued to reinvent itself over the years, even offering a home-delivered gourmet box option during the pandemic.

The next edition, the 9th to benefit Little Brothers, will take place on May 21

In support of Little Brothers Québec

In Québec city, we can observe that the isolation of seniors is much more present than we could imagine. Some of them have lost contact with the community and it is very easy to no longer see them. One of our great challenges is certainly to make them feel at home in the community.

It is by working together as a community that we can identify isolated seniors, recreate a caring community around them, and ensure a continuum of care and services.

Present in Quebec City since 1987, Little Brothers accompany 274 seniors, thanks to the support of 292 volunteers, who make a difference by getting involved in their community.

The local team promotes grassroots mobilization and the matching of seniors with volunteers living in their neighbourhood. On a daily basis, Little Brothers Québec can thus mark their presence and their ability to touch the hearts of our Great Friends.

A unique gastronomic experience

Once again this year, the Trattoria La Scala restaurant in Quebec City’s Montcalm district, renowned for its fine cuisine and unique hospitality, will be transformed into a veritable living opera house.

For the duration of the evening, guests will enjoy an extraordinary gastronomic experience in a unique musical atmosphere, enlivened by masterful performances by lyric artists.

Join us for this exceptional evening and help support the cause of isolated seniors!

Our warmest thanks to our partners Collabox and Restaurant Trattoria La Scala for their support of the 9th edition of the fundraising dinner.
