Our Volunteers in the Spotlight
The Little Brothers organization could not accomplish its mission without the unwavering commitment of all its volunteers. We are blessed by their faithful and caring presence within our extended family.
Each year we hold a national award ceremony to recognize their tremendous contribution to the cause of social isolation of seniors. This ceremony provides the opportunity to come together, share some special moments, and show our gratitude.
Volunteer Prizes
Juliette-Huot Prize
Juliette Huot (1912-2001) was a Canadian actress, considered a pioneer in the world of radio, theater, and television in Québec. She also became popular for her television cooking shows, and was known for her extensive involvement with Little Brothers.
The Juliette-Huot Prize acknowledges the exemplary commitment of a volunteer to the Little Brothers’ cause. It is awarded at the annual general meeting.

Hubert-de-Ravinel Prize
Hubert de Ravinel co-founded the organization in Montréal, in 1962. He was a radio and television host, poet, essay and short story writer, and he received numerous awards for his social implication from an early age, including the Ordre national du Québec and the Légion d’honneur française.
The Hubert de Ravinel Prize is given to volunteers under 35 years of age for their outstanding commitment to seniors. It was first awarded in 2020.

At Little Brothers, we recognize the invaluable contribution of volunteers year round. Thank you to these exceptional people for their availability, their support, their generosity, their know-how, and their dedication to seniors.
National Volunteer Week, held in April of each year, provides an opportunity for community organizations to host events across the province to recognize and acknowledge the contributions of volunteers.
During this week, Little Brothers showcases its volunteers through communication campaigns and publications that highlight the work of those who take action throughout the year to bring joy to our Great Friends.
